TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY: TAKE A LOOK AT THEESE ONE!!!

Hello there felines.  So I goes to my tunnel in anticipation of the latest magical appearance and surprise...and guess what's waiting for me?  My very own "Twilight" DVD.  Isn't that terrific felines?  I was besides myself with excitement as I am a "Twi-Hard".  And because it's been lacking in the birdie department, now I can watch my movie over and over and over again when I gets bored.  Are there any Twilight fans out there in the Audience?  Let's have a show of fangs.  Good good, a few I see.  Now are you "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob"?  We'z all about Edward here at Headquarters.  In fact there are many similarities between me and Edward...here's an old post discussing theese very subject:

TOP 10 LIST OF SIMILARITIES BETWEEN CLOON AND EDWARD CULLEN:

10) We both have fangs (see picture above).

9) We both can jump quite high.

8) We both like trees.

7) We're both articulate and well spoken.

6) We both can play the piano (ok I'm lying about theese one).

5) We both mesmerize the ladies with our "liquid topaz" eyes.

4) We both watch humans while they sleep.

3) We both sparkle in the sunlight.

2) We both are on a "special diet" (for me it's num-nums).

and the NUMBER 1 SIMILARITY BETWEEN ME AND EDWARD IS...

1) We both drive only the best sports cars (for me it's the Clooneymobile).

Psst...Pass On The Blog Award, Will Ya?

Hello there Audience.  Neytiri and "Ducky" are here to present the Stylish Blogger Award to 7 Blogs and along with passing the award on, we are asked to share 7 things about us that others may not already know.  So, first of all, we want to say a big thank you to both Slash and Bronzy from 5-Cat Style and The Flyer  and Goro and Niko from Gorogoro and Nikoniko for awarding us with theese award called the Stylish Blogger.  Slash and Bronzy are very photogenic felines with great stories and beautiful photos.  Now for, my brothers from other Mothers, Goro and Niko have the most clever, cute and funny stories ever...We know that lots of blogs have recently received the Stylish Blogger Award so we may be awarding it to someone who already has it.  Also, some blogs don't participate in awards, so if theese is the case and we award you, our feelings won't be hurt if you don't want to post it on your blog or participate.  With that being said, we believe that many things can constitute "stylish".  It could be the look of your blog, the felines may be stylish or stylin', it could be your writing style or your unique style in general.  So, we would like to pass the award on to the following blogs that we think have a unique style to them:

As for 7 things you may not know about us, here goes:

1) I (Clooney) am a talker.  I talk a lot.  I talk with high-pitched chirps mainly.  And I like to "talk" in the VERY early hours of the morn.

2) When Neytiri was little and first came to Headquarters, she refused to sleep unless someone stayed right by her.  If that Human moved or left the room, she would get up and follow them.  If they snuck out while she was sleeping, even though they were VERY quiet, she would suddenly appear minutes after, following them around.

3) I (Clooney) am the founding member of Stringaholics Anonymous. (I love string and am obsessed with chewing it.)  It has been 242 days since my last "string episode".  During theese episode I ate 18 inches of cord from my Grandma's venetian blind (that was taped and put up high, but I pulled it down) when she was taking care of me.  My Human  drove back over 2 hours when she heard the news.  She said strong purr-ayers, pet, cuddled and talked to me and gave me a large amount of furball stuff.  Within half an hour I went to the litter box and eliminated 12 inches of string.  With more furball stuff, purr-ayers and lots of lovin' for me, I eliminated the other 6 inches the following morning.  My Human called theese a miracle.  From then on, there were only cordless blinds at Headquarters and all my string activity is strictly monitored and supervised including playing with toys that are on strings.

4)  Neytiri is OBSESSED with her reflection on shiny wood surfaces and spends many HOURS a day mewing and pawing at the reflections. (See why we need birds, folks?)

5)  I (Clooney) love tummy rubs, which you already know.  But what you don't know is that I don't discriminate against anyone for theese rubs.  I "assume the position" for complete strangers as well as for canines.  Uh, but theese canines don't know how to give tummy rubs, at least my friend Mr. L doesn't...

6)  Neytiri and I both love the computer printer.  When it makes noises, we come out running even from naps to sit right by it and observe.  (Neytiri likes all noisy things and I am waiting for an order for my Clooneymobile.)

7)  I (Clooney) respond to a hand signal and a clicking noise my Human makes.  When she makes the clicking noise and uses her hand to motion for me to come, I will run across the room to see her, jump up beside her etc. etc.

And that's all folks...Have a "stylin" week!

Thankful Thursday...on Friday

My Human says all of her felines have had very distinctive walks.  None of us has "sounded" like the other.  She could always tell who would appear in the room by the sound of their walk, except for "Girlfriend" who would appear like magic, silently.

So, my Human is thankful for:

Doogie's Hop
(Doogie only had one back leg so she could hear his hippity-hop)
 Girlfriend's Gracefulness
(She was so light on her feet and walked silently)
Clooney's Strut
(She says I walk with a lot of purpose and swag and sound like a herd of little elephants)

Neytiri's "Ragdoll Shuffle"
(She drags her little feet and you can hear her "hairy" paws)

TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY: TAKE A LOOK AT THEESE ONE!!!

Well hello there felines!  So I goes to my "tunnel' in the wee hours of the morn and I can't believes my eyes!  My tunnel has come through once again and delivered "supplies" for me to get real serious in the birdie-attracting department...I now has my own bird house and bird seed bell!   Isn't theese fantastic, felines?  We'z been severely lacking in the birdie department and I'z been very concerned.  I finds myself quite bored some days as there are NO birdies to watch.  So theese will definitely spice things up!  I will be calling an important meeting at Headquarters today to have a panel discussion on where to strategically place the bird house and bird seed bell as to best attract our winged friends. Then I'z going to have Secretary Neytiri draw out a plan with the best suggestions.  Neytiri is very excited about theese as she will have more opportunities to make her "birdie noise".  In closing I say, "If you build it, they will come."

Join me each TUESDAY felines for other magical and mysterious appearances in my "tunnel".

inVEST in Animals

Gather around Audience, I has some important things to share with you.  Since I was featured on Wendy's LOL-Spot in my "Argyle" VEST today, I decided to keep my Argyle on for a "Clooney Tutorial" on shelter awareness and helping out animals in need.  It was suggested by some very special felines out there Brian and Kika that today be a special event in the Cat Blogosphere where we do a post on the importance of helping out animal shelters.  Brian has an excellent post and great suggestions on how you can help.  Kika has some pictures that tug at your heartstrings on the reality of what is going on in various places in the world regarding extreme weather conditions and the tragedies that have resulted and how this has affected animals.  There are many felines and canines that are needing help all over the world, including locally where you live.  If it wasn't for a rescue like Happy Cat Sanctuary I would not have met my Human and would not be in "Argyle" eating Num-Nums and blogging.  And if it wasn't for that same rescue, my biological sister would not have a place to still be living, as she was returned from the home that adopted her and lives permanently at the Sanctuary with other kitties who are very shy.  Her name is Dellilah and here is her picture:

One of our feline friends, Fae from Australia has on her blog life with Fae information on helping out animals that were affected by the floods in Queensland.  From our friends at Jan's Funny Farm we found out about a blog called Dogs In Brazil where a couple is rescuing canines that are homeless and now with the floods in Brazil, conditions have gotten worse and more animals need help.  Their link is in the Funny Farmers' post.

So folks, could you find it in your hearts to help out some furry friends in need, because we'z worth it, ya know!  Just ask my Human, she can vouch for me...

Strolling Sunday: Big..."Bird"?

Hello there Audience.  So I was taking my leisurely stroll to have my morning Num-Nums when all of a sudden I caught something out of the corner of my eye...a little Canine Spy...then along came Neytiri who has not seen a Canine before...She parked herself in front of the window to observe theese little creature.  In fact she was quite fascinated by theese...uh, "bird".  Now you might be sayin' "Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis?" That ain't no bird!  And I says I know, I know!  But apparently Neytiri doesn't because as she is lying there watching the Spy, she is making "the birdie noise".  You know...that (heart attack)-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack. (You oughta know by now) noise that a lot of felines make when they sees birdies.  (I don't makes that noise, because I skipped class the afternoon they was teaching us kittens that lesson and therefore I don't know how.)  But Neytiri, bless her little heart, is excellent at making "the birdie noise" and does a great job.

So, how's your Sunday going?  Have any big "birds" strolled on by?

Happy Gotcha Day To Me!!!

Hello there Audience!  Welcome to the 4th Anniversary of my Gotcha Day!  I came to live at Headquarters with my Human on January 21, 2007.  Neytiri and "Ducky" surprised me today with a sign and a gift of Num-Nums to celebrate theese special event.  Theese is the first time I'z ever told my rescue story on my blog.  So here goes:

My Human spied me on the interwebs and it was "love at first sight".  Theese is the picture she saw and the only picture taken of me when I was younger.  I was about 6 months in the photo:

She adopted me from a rescue organization called Happy Cat Sanctuary.  My sister and I had been found living outside when we were 2 months old and some kind person took us to a vet clinic and then the rescue organization was called.  From there I spent 4 months being fostered at different homes until my Human travelled over 6 hours to come get me.  I had been living under the alias of "Bingo" for 6 months, trying to shake the paparazzi or the paw-purr-azzi, whichever you prefer.  Of course it was soon to be revealed that my true identity was George Clooney.  (I mean, come on eh...Bingo?)  On the car ride home, I cried in my carrier (I know, I know...I admits it even though I gots a "Mancat" reputation to protect) until my Human took me out and held me on her lap.  Then I purred the whole way and gave her "goo-goo" eyes.  When I reached Headquarters, I walked in like it was my home all along.  I was very comfortable.  I didn't hide and I wasn't scared.  "Girlfriend" (Inka) who lived there before me, observed me from a distance for 1 week (there was no hissing or fighting).  When my Human left during the day, she kept us separate and then after the first week, she went out for a few hours leaving us alone together.  When she came back we were friends.  ("Girlfriend" ended up being my best friend till she passed away in October 2009.)  So there you have it folks...my Gotcha Day story.  Now onto the day's festivities...Here is me today in my "Argyle" which I only wear for special occasions:

And today I have a special guest in attendance.  It is Mr. L, my associate from Von Ice Enterprises.  He is here to play the djembe and help me celebrate my Gotcha Day:

Cloon:  Welcome Mr. L!

Mr. L: Thank you.  Thank you very much.

Cloon:  I see you'z been keeping up with your Elvis Impersonations.  Excellent!  Now I must admit, you had me pacing the floor, when you commented and mentioned "new blog design" and "security" in the same sentence...Enlighten us, will ya?

Mr. L:  I was just messin' with ya, man!  Consider it payback for all those prank calls to me, asking if my "refrigerator is running".  I mean, my feelings were a bit hurt that I wasn't consulted on the new design... because of my background in Mockumentary Filmmaking, I may have been able to make a suggestion or two...Just make sure you still keep me on as the main contact to secure the premises, search for squirrels or spycats etc. I need to keep my "security" portfolio up in these hard economic times...

Cloon:  Will do Mr. L, will do.  And now without further ado...Mr. L and his djembe...1, 2...1, 2, 3, 4...

TUNNEL TUESDAY

TUNNEL TUESDAY:  IT'S WHIPPED CREAM!!!

Well hello there felines!  So I goes to my "tunnel" and imagine my surprise...and delight... when I sees a can of Whipped Cream waiting there for me.  And not only that...theese is my "personal" whipped cream as it came with my name on it!  How fabulous is that, felines?  Are there any whipped cream fans out there?  I loves me whipped cream. Now I knows some of you out there may have had creme fraiche for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I'z not familiar with theese one...I just stick to my plain old fashioned whipped cream.  It seems to do the trick.  In fact, I appear out of nowhere if I hear the familiar sound of my Human using the beater to makes up a batch.  But theese can is much handier...now I can go to the fridge in the wee hours of the morn...for a snack.  And then just when I thought it couldn't get any better, look what my Human did for me:

Photo Hunt: Shadow

Today we decided to do something different and are participating in our first PhotoHunt .  The theme theese week is "Shadow".  Theese is an older picture taken when "Girlfriend" was still with us.  You can see me staring into the sun (do not try theese at home felines...it's not too good for the eyes).  However, I love the sun and I love staring so theese seemed like the perfect thing to do at the time.  You can see my shadow on the wall behind.  As shadows go...I thinks mine is pretty good (if I do say so myself...).

Happy Caturday!

Femme Friday - Neytiri Gets Hatted!

FEMME FRIDAY - NEYTIRI GETS HATTED!

Hello there Audience!  We'z so excited today...Secretary Neytiri was hatted today by Sammy and Andy's Mama over at their blog Sammy and Andy's Place.  She loves her hat and can't believe it ended up being pink, because that is her favorite color!  She's been wearing her hat all around Headquarters today doing her dust bunny busting (aka dusting).  Rumour has it that Miss Trovsky of the Pink Nose Society is quite enamoured with Neytiri's hat and asked to borrow it  to wear for the special upcoming Fundraiser for the Pink Nose Society.  Neytiri is the agreeable sort and believes in sharing so she said "No problemo!"  Purrs of thanks to that "Mad Hatter" of Sammy and Andy's!

And speaking of  Mad "Catter"...check theese out:

See ya there!

On The Red Carpet

Hello there Audience!  Welcome to the Red Carpet Premiere of our new blog!  (You may have noticed that we has good stories over here but were lacking in the design pizazz department.)Recently, we had a winning bid for new custom banners by Zoolatry in Brighton's Auction and theese is the result...Gotta love that ZH of Maggy's and Zoey's!  Not only did the lovely Lady re-vamp our blog, but she sent me a kiss as well, I mean come on eh, what more can a guy ask for?  Seriously.  So we'z reserved the front row seats (in the V.I.P. section, of course) for the ZH, Maggy and Zoey.  Secretary Neytiri will be around shortly with my infamous catnip brownies (you may want to start out slowly with theese ones as they'z known to produce some rolling around on the floor and you might not want to wrinkle your fancy evening gowns).

So, stick with us Audience, some things to come in the near future are: My Gotcha Day, Our Blogoversary, Neytiri's Birthday and many more adventures with Our Cast of Characters and of course, fun contests...

Oops gotta go folks...the limos are arriving and we'z having a bit of a parking dilemma...

TUNNEL TUESDAY: EASY BAKE OVEN

Hello there felines! Thanks for joining me for another "Tunnel Tuesday"...OK, theese one is excellent! I arrives at my "tunnel" early this morning...(I has to admit I was a bit nervous after finding the "tunnel" shut down for maintenance last week)...and lo and behold...there sits a brand new, fancy Easy Bake Oven. The "tunnel" has really outdone itself on theese one. Seriously. For all newer Audience members, you may not know it but I depends on my Easy Bake Oven to make my infamous catnip brownies that have won awards on cooking shows. You can read about it on a previous post of mine http://bit.ly/fzn3oV . Neytiri also uses the Easy Bake Oven for staff training and to prepare food for functions at Headquarters. Therefore, our old Easy Bake had quite a lot of miles on it and was quite an old fashioned model, if the truth be known. So we are both happy to have a new top of the line Easy Bake with a good warranty. Does anyone else out there have an Easy Bake Oven that they take pride in?

Conclusion of "The Great Harley Ham Adventure"

WHAT HAPPENS IN "THE BIG EASY" STAYS IN "THE BIG EASY"...

(What follows is the conclusion to Cloon & Cotton's Harley Adventure & Ham Picnic)

Cloon: Now that Cotton is back safe and sound at the Funny Farm (and a good thing too, otherwise I'd has to answer to that Dr. Buddy over there), I has her joining me via webcam to discuss our adventure. Hello there Miss Cotton!
Cotton: Good evening Cloon. I'm just waking up from a 12 hour nap, wow that adventure sure tuckered me out!
Cloon: I know, we did pack a whole lot of activities into a short time frame! So, what was your favorite part of our Harley trip?
Cotton: I loved seeing the beautiful architecture of the plantation homes, especially the Oak Valley Plantation and was so excited about being an extra on the set of the soap opera that was filming there.
Cloon: Theese one was a good one! Yes, you made your TV debut! Congrats on that! Then, we had our ham picnic under that giant canopy of oak trees and it was an excellent spot. I must say that was THE best ham I ever tasted. You did a wonderful job cooking it and maybe someday you'll share your recipe with us...
Cotton: Oh, it is my secret recipe, not even the rest of the Funny Farmers are privy to it...
Cloon: Hmm, did it have Num-Nums as part of the glaze?
Cotton: I'm sorry but I'm not able to divulge that information.
Cloon: I guess I missed the window of opportunity, I should have asked you about your recipe last night after you had that "Hurricane" (uh, I mean "sweet Georgia tea") drink at Pat O'Briens in the French Quarter...
Cotton: Oh, I let "ALF" have my beverage...
Cloon: No wonder "ALF" and "The Baby" tried to get everyone doing the "Macarena" at theese jazz club Preservation Hall...
Cotton: Yes, and you Cloon ended up with strings of beads a month before Mardi Gras...
Cloon: Well, like I said, "What happens in The Big Easy, stays in The Big Easy"...
